For some unexplainable reason I have a problem with couples that sit on the same side of the table when out at a restaurant. Isnt the whole point of going on a date with your significant other to converse and get to know each other better, not sit next to each other in silence. All of the couples that I witness doing this do not seem to be having a good time. I feel like they end up watching me and whoever I am with instead. I see no reason why two people cannot sit across from each other (hello how about a little eye contact?). Maybe they have issues with not being able to touch each other at all times (an entirely different area worthy of the Complaint Corner). Or maybe they are practicing to be on one of those dating shows like blind date or shipmates where you have to face the camera, thus must sit next to each other. I dont know if these couples have noticed, but from the results of these shows this technique is proven to not end in successful relationships.
