I hate it when wives want to have a conversation during a sports game -and- they stand in the way of the TV! Then they get mad because you shove their ass out of the way so you can see Culpepper fumble the ball! What a double-whammy! - Kirk

As a side note, I know a couple who has a "two-minutes rule". In the last two minutes of any televised sporting event, she cannot talk, distract or bother him in any way (I think they worked it into their wedding vows). At one time, the rule may have been that he couldn't be bothered while watching any sports, but with ESPN, ESPN 2 ESPN Classic, ESPN News, CNNSI, George Michael's Sports Machine, etc... that could be 24 hours a day. Hmmm... now there an idea! - Pat

The "Two-Minutes Rule"
can be very effective, however the loop-holes must be addressed in the early
stages of any relationship. 2 minutes, as most know, refers to the clock time,
and not an actual time-span of two minutes (i.e. 120 seconds). This is obvious
knowledge to we, the avid sports-fan, but could be confusing to the less-informed
better half. Of course, the possibility of "Over Time" , "Extra
Innings", or "Playoff" must also be discussed in full, as these
two terms should be included in the previously mentioned "Two-Minutes"
