NYRs & FWPs

January 9, 2003

I am new to the complaint board, but I have a complaint and I just don't know who else to turn to except Geeks on the Web (he he.)

Yesterday my coworker and workout buddy Martha and I were talking about how we have been annoyed by two types of people lately - we've decided to call them NYRs and FWPs.

NYRs: New Year's Resolutioners. These are people that decide to start coming to Lifetime Fitness (or any other health club) in January and because of them there are no parking spots, lockers, and machines available. Our workout class (which we attend all months of the year) is so ridiculously crowded now because of them. At Monday's class, one NYR got crabby at me because I was a little too close to her spot that she had saved with her little towel. grrrrr.

FWPs - Fair Weather Parkers. The FWPs decide that since there are some snowflakes falling they should park their car in the underground portion of our parking ramp leaving no spots for the rest of us who park there everyday. Go back upstairs to your "2 Hour Visitor" spots close to the door and brave the elements - we've put in our time here! Side note: we are trying to determine if these are the same people that ride the elevator for one floor.

That's all the complaints for now.
I feel better. - Shelly
