May 5	9:00	Played our old red nemesis (although, without Schwartzenegger). Out-shot them, but dropped a tight one two goals to one (a Mellum blast on a beauty of a feed from George). Still getting the lungs into shape... so look out. (0 wins - 1 loss)
May 12	1:20	(from Eric) What a beautiful day for soccer we had! We improved our results a bit over the previous week, tying 2-2 with great goals by George and Robb, and some lovely goalkeeping by Senor White. Way to go, Pagliacci! I smell victory this weekend! My personal achievement this week was keeping my shorts on, despite the efforts from an opponent to remove them, leading to his receiving a red card. Fun for the whole family! (Overall: 0-1-1)
May 19	11:10	(from Eric) Well, we tied another one 1-1 this past weekend. We got screwed out of a goal with the tired old "it went through the side of the net" excuse. If I had a nickel for every time I've heard that excuse recently, I'd have a nickel. It was a pretty good game though. I'm looking forward to whomping the Mad Dogs for our next game! (Overall: 0-1-2)
May 26		No kicks this weekend - Memorial Day Weekend
June 2	9:00	Probably help the recap if I actually showed for one of these games, but I guess we squeaked out another tie (Overall: 0-1-3)
June 9	2:25	(from Eric) Well, we finally broke our streak of ties this past weekend, but sadly we came out on the losing end, 2-1. Oh well - it was a good game, and a beautiful day. (Overall: 0-2-3)
June 16	12:15	Wet fields needed a rest... games were postponed.
June 23	10:05	(from Eric) Well, I hear we played a good game this past weekend, but lost to a good team 2-0. In other news, we got Jim married up and off to Tahiti for a two-week honeymoon! There was even a good soccer goalie joke from his new father-in-law at the reception! (Overall: 0-3-3)
June 30	12:15 (make-up, not playoffs)	(from Eric) Congrats on a very well played game last Saturday! We tied 1-1, but we really looked great! Our passing and overall team play was impressive - I heard a number of positive comments from our devoted fans. :) (Overall: 0-3-4)
July 7		(from Eric) Congrats on our first victory of the season, well-timed for the playoffs! We won 3-0 and played extremely well as a team! Woo hoo! Now let's defend our Summer Season championship title from last year! (Overall: 1-3-4)
July 14		(from Eric) We ended the spring season on a very strong note! Apparently we won our 2nd playoff game 3-2 in overtime! Sounded awesome - wish I could have seen it. Unfortunately, despite being undefeated in the playoffs, our regular season record was not good enough to get us into the round to play for the championship. Looking back it was actually a pretty decent season, and we've really been playing well lately. We lost just 3 games, and only one of those was by more than a goal. Lots of close games, and 4 (yes, count 'em, 4!) ties. Good season! (Overall: 2-3-4)
