(from Reed) Game went well. We won 3-0. Steve in goal was a stud.

(from Reed) We lost, but it was a relatively good game. Our goalie kept us in it and stood on his head multiple times. They had some cheap players, but most were pretty good. They just like to play the body and whack at your feet a lot as they were "trying to hit the ball."

So that's what our team looks like. I should show-up more often. Nice win and good ball movement. I saw Swords hit a bunch of goals...and John had some nice finishes...and Dan had some goals...saw Dylan get one...maybe Brad? Not sure who else I missed...and don't even know the actual score of the game. No matter. I need to get to the bank to cash John's check pronto! Nice playing boys.

Good spacing, passing, defense, keeping the zone, goaltending and finishes. That's at least what I saw. In addition, I heard our opponents yell that #3 (John) should not try so hard and I believe I heard one of them call Matt a ninja with his stick. Cool.

(from Reed) I think Dan and Dylan were the stars of the game tonight. Dan dominated and Dylan frustrated the hell out of the other team. Sieve made some good saves too, but the main issue was the ice. It was slippery as hell in spots, and a race track in others...very dangerous, as eric pulled up lame. I kinda did too, so we were savage men, but we still won 4-0.

A day of snowfall made for some slippery, sloppy, snow puffed, ball would not move conditions on the ice. Although we only had one sub, Steve still pitched another shutout with some sweet saves and we mustered two goals (the first being a bit ugly) and held on for the victory. Tournament starts on Saturday.

Granted, I only made it to the game by half-time, but it looked like a couple of evenly matched teams (even if they were the "old guys"). Super sub Graven had already scored two goals and we had a 2-1 lead. Unfortunately, the Gumpus were able to get a couple more in the second half as our groin-pulled, late for this game and need to run off to another game team was starting to get thin (crazy Saturday scheduling if you ask me). Thanks to Rob and Matt for subbing as well. And, in an odd scheduling move, we have one regular season game left. See you Monday! Tournament Bracket
